mine still has the original battery and i never charge it and it cranked right up after sitting 9 months!
I do carry jumpers though just in case..lol.
Took it out for the first time this season..last night.. bish still hauls the mail!

Your original '06 battery is on borrowed time. When it fails it will probably be at the worst possible time & place. Jumper cables are nice when you have another battery powered vehicle to jump to. However when the battery fails completely your sled may not stay running when the jumper cables are removed.
$100 for a new upgraded 310 CCA battery to replace a 7 year old original that could leave you stranded is well worth the money IMO.
