My last 2007 Apex RTX with a 13mm Sway bar and Pilot skis. Had the transfer rods adjusted all the way forward so I could hold it wide open around corners. Took me a couple years to get it to handle that good.
Best handling sled out of the box was my 99 Polaris Xc600 SP.

97 700 sx. How i wish i still had one. That sled made me the most loyal yamaha guy out there. Too bad they dont have the passion to build something that could compare to the sx and srx anymore.

84 phazer was a great allround sled , sxr was a easy steer trail sled and my srx was a hot rod. rx1 was a strong pull that never ended , then warrior was the same with a better ride to me , never liked the dial adj. on rx1 ...now i am about to get a nitro xtx 1.75. soon DOES ANY BODY HAVE COMMENTS ON THAT SLED ?

By far, my current sled 2006 gt apex. Finally have it dialed in after 3 seasons.

04 Viper S for me. Loved the way it railed around corners.

1997 Yamaha SX-700 that sled was so fun to ride, it would fly down the trail and i only let off the throttle a little to take a corner. big bumps was a problem and it lacked wide open stuff, but i kept the single pipe on as it truely made it a nice trail sled. It basicly handled like it was on rails !!! Mods: bender Race can, bender clutch kit, Maxim adjustable transfer rods. I had friends that put triple pipes on and in my opinion made it slower and harder to tune... fast on the wide open stuff, and lakes.

97 700SX was the best (I still have one)
07 Phazer was a blast, but I broke it ...........often
03 RX1 was great with doo skid, but still heavy in the big bumps
09 Nytro is a good compromise between all of them
I cant forget the 93 Exciter II SX (I had two of those both rocked!)
I am leaving out around 15 other sleds but these were the best. Allmost forgot the ET250!!! Way too much fun!!

Another vote for the 97' SX 700, that sled was a blast! Over 9,000 miles on the stock motor with a bender can, dare I say almost as sweet sounding as an apex. I miss it every time I see one on the trail.

I Loved the V MAX4....Clutched, Quad Howler Pipes & Goodies, was hard on gas and rode like a BIG BRICK....BUTT WAS A ROCKET
The 01 SRX was just a ALL AROUND FUN SLED which was Great on fuel and a Pleasure to Ride with a AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE SEAT......& FAST

2006 Apex RTX
It's hard to compare different era's. In my youth, my 93 Mach 670 or 95 ZRT 800 handled the flats great, but with a full 2" travel up front, every ripple was felt. Then again, i didn't feel it with my 25 year old legs. I'll say my current sled is best...just in case she's listening.

Has to be my 2011 rs venture.
For me the best riding trail sled I've owned was my 04 MXZ-X 800HO. With my nytro right behind it, it took a bit of work to get it there but I love it. But the most fun was my ole 01 ZR 600. It was ported and polished and had great clutching and I had wider boards and snocross bars on it. And it was cheap to fix when I was younger, I could ride it, break it, fix it, and repeat.
