Honorable mention for me would be my ol 95 Vmax 600, Yamaha twin piped cleaned up on all my buds poo 600s dragging in the fields in northern IL. Handled really flat and cornered like a dream.
Still the SRX is the overall winner!

- 2010 FXNytro MTX 162 SE with a 270 hp MCX Turbo and assorted goodies!
Grew up on 80's to 90's Phazers riding in Central New Hampshire...... Was as fast through the trails as anything you could ride on those tight twisty trails back in those days (Before the area I grew up in got wide/big grooming machines)
After that, moved to Washington State and found my true love....... 2010 FXNytro MTX 162 SE w/ 270 hp MCXpress Turbo............. There is NO SUBSTITUTION for HORSE POWER!!!

Tie for me. My old 1997 600SX with Ohlins and my 2001 SX700R. Still mad I traded that for my Viper. Viper is faster but the redhead motor was so good in the trails.

My zl 800 could rail the corners. I didn't like the handle bars on the srx. They were to narrow.

Smooth trails my 2002 srx 700 couldn't be beat but most of the time its pretty bumpy so my 07 attak takes the cake for bumpy trails .

The viper I had was the best "smooth" trail sled I've had. My nytro is best bumpy trail sled, after lots of work...

all the sleds i have had have their good points and bad as well. the one i would pick is my 05 war after i got it set right. next in line would be the 01 sx500r whitch was an awsome corner to corner sled other than the fuel milage the way i had it set. my et410 still does the job and i had a blast last weekend riding it in the trails but wot all day can get boring afterwhile.
still dialing in the apex whitch is why it is not on the list yet. it is handling good but untill i get it tweaked to my liking the war with full olins wins.

My 1998 Arctic cat ZRT 800 with trailported thundercat cylinders. ETT rear suspension and FOX gas shocks. Front suspension with FOX gas shocks. The best sled suspensionwise and fastest sled in top speed i have owend.
without question, my 1998 polaris 700 xc. straight lines or tight corners, rough or smooth, nothing stock could touch this thing in it's day.(114 mph radared in 1/2 mile on snow). I called it the old "point and shoot" It never fooled you, and always went where you pointed it without question. Now I will say that I would have trouble riding that sled today because of the ergo's. It just sits too low in the saddle, and my knees would be killing me.

My 2008 LTX serves me well for the type of riding I do now. But when I was younger the 97 600 sx was a terror in the tight and twisties.

Suspended
Hmmmmm
1979 SRX was pretty wicked and I was young enough then to ride with no suspension.
1998 SRX Was Awesome, rode one for around 12,000 miles. VERY capable trail weapon
Many of my Younger freinds still ride old SRX's and I'm proud to say My JRE Nytro XTX runs right with them or faster depending on how tight the trails are.
