So i'm looking at adding a second yamaha 4 stroke and replacing my old vmax... Wife and I ride either fairly rough ungroomed trails (aka ditches) on the flat lands, or relatively open groomed trails in the black hills in SD. (I currently have a 2004 warrior, arctic cat ZR 600, and vmax 600. The AC and vmax will go away.)
Both choices have about 2900 miles, and both are about $3000.
Choices:
1) 2003 RX1 Mountain LE, 144 track. Aftermarket exhaust, handlebar risers, left hand throttle. Also only about 2 miles away from me.
2) 2006 Nytro. Stock, 'ridden by the wife'. Cam tensioner hasn't been updated, new carbides & belt 100 miles ago. 300 mile one way drive.
Gut feeling is telling my the nytro. Although the 144 track length wouldn't be a problem, those look like fairly large lugs... I do ride in some marginal snow conditions. Also, I've always been really cautious of mods... The warrior is just barely going to fit in my trailer also.

The top picture is a RX-1 mountain (151 track, 2 inch paddles), not a Warrior

Yep, screwed that up! (ninja edited my post now though...) He is still claiming it is 144 track though (with a question mark), and a tip to tip measurement of 10 feet 6 inches, which I would think a 151 would probably be longer than. (I have a 10 foot enclosed trailer, but 6 inches overhang on the front isn't a problem) If it actually is a 151, that is way past what I'm looking for, even 144 was questionable.
This is the ad for it

if you live in and ride rough trails, why would you want such old yamis? at least the zr can do it without tiring you out in 20 min
