I was ridding my 06 RTX this past weekend witch has 1500 miles on it and about 400 with studs. I was coming home from a 30 mile ride and every time I came over a mogul it sounded like the sled was bottoming and the studs where hitting the tunnel when I got it back to the barn I looked under to see if there was any damage and couldn't see any problems. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so how did you fix it. I have all stock components and weight about 200 with gear. any help will be appreciated

Sounds like ice chunks in the tunnel.
Check you muffler protect plate under. If there no marks then it's only ice in the tunnel.

If you were going fairly slow over the moguls, is just the noisey Monoshock skid...probably going through the travel and the transfer rod is making the noise. There's been many posts on the noise.

I looked at the muffler and it seemed like the plate was missing but there wasnt a scratch on the muffler itsself. I was going pretty good over the mogules and it sounded to harsh just to be track noise or the skid.

What he said.
Mine does it also. Seems to make the noise(clank or clunk) only at slow speeds though.

whats hitting
i have a 06 apex er, i had 144 pic down the middle... i took my shock out too have the spring tightend up and noticed that the studs where hitting the tip of the shock...
the back end of the shock was worn pretty bad where the bolt runs though... maybe it could be this
