i just replaced my track what a pain its my first time it took 4 hrs.what is the best gearcase lube to use thanks for any input ...

oil

klotz with some energy release in it.For speed running I use synthetic atf.

I use Mobil 1 synthetic. It's readily available.

I think the answer is any synthetic. What viscosityis best for this application? And yes, the job is not done unless energy release is added to the chain case.

Is energy release similar to I-XL? It's a metal conditioner that you can add to motors, transmissions and the like. I was going to add it to my chaincase when I change the oil soon, I will be puting in castrol 75-90 synthetic. Is this alright? Guess I should have asked before I bought the oil, eh? lol

I use 75-90 mobil 1 synthetic with ER additive in the trail sled cases. Castrol is fine too. Mike Knapp#17

What are this additives? I am running straigh Mobil 1 and have been running Semi Syn for a few years without a problem in my Viper ER...

Energy Release, try doing a search on it. Its a metel treatment. I would never use it in the engine though, thats just my opinion. I order it through HPE in Thief River MN
