Looking to trade mine in for a 2020 RS Venture TF but don't want to pay full price (who does?) and thinking of trying to find a leftover. When do discounts typically start? Also don't know how it works if there are no local dealers if they will transport it to my dealer or I have to travel to get it.

I have got my best deals by shopping out of season and by making wide inquiries. I'd wait till July and then find every leftover sled within a long one day round trip. Let them know that you are ABSOLUTELY going to buy a sled in August ... what is their best price. Be specific as heck about what you want and get the best offer on paper. I then go to the closest one with the offer and tell him I'm buying a sled from a distant competitor on the weekend if he can't match the price and I follow through. Half the time I drive and half the time the local guy gets my business. By the way, don't get the extended warranty if you just pissed of the local guy.

This is one decision you will not regret Mooseman, consider this a belated retirement gift. Probably the first and last new sled you'll ever get ... enjoy it.

Thanks @YukonMP for the tips. The MP was as close to a new sled I ever bought, 2 years old and 800km at the time and it served me well. I just don't want to deal with this one anymore. I got burned with the blown head gasket and it just has bad mojo. New sled and I'll know how to take care of it. I just need something problem free for a while.

Oh and I never get extended warranties. They are worthless and difficult to get honoured.
