Where in the world is all my anti freeze going?

did anyone find the problem ? I filled up again last week, and maybe 10 or 12 WOT drag run, and no more coolant, even low coolant light flashed.

I changed my oil last week and no sign of coolant in the oil, no coolant by the pipe. No visible sign of leak, but am still worried about that one.

Check your coolant caps (rad cap). Mine does the same thing..the spring is either weak or the sled is getting hot enought to push coolant vapour out the overflow without triggering the overheat light. I'm not sure which...but both my RX and our Vector have the same issue. It goes somewhere but there's no trace of a leak. I did notice when I first bought my RX (used) that there was coolant in the overflow line which is how I've been peicing this "mystery" together.

Look at the front of your heat exchanger on the running boards. I was putting in a apex skid in my today and found that the rear drop bracets had either worn a pin hole or cracked the heat exchanger. I noticed some corrosion and very minor moisture at the front of the heat exchanger. You might want to have a look. If you raise the back end up and leave it for a day you may find a small puddle.

Seems like there are lots of ideas already mentioned, but I want to throw in two more just 'cause they haven't been brought up. First off, is there any black or grey film in your coolant? Considering that you haven't seen any visible leaks, I'm wondering if your head gaskets are starting to weep coolant through when hot... and your burning it out your exhaust. The other idea I wanted to mention is one that I've already had: leaking mechanical seal on the coolant pump. I was losing coolant but very slowly and it was only noticeable when the engine got hot... anyhow it ended up being the seal on the coolant pump, which seemed to only leak any significant amount when the engine was wound up.... Anyhow, another 2 cents... hope it helps Frosty...

You were right... my left exchanger is damaged, between the frame and the rear drop down bracket.

I had the same problem twice. Once the rad cap fixed it, other time it was a small pinhole leak at the heat exchanger weld.

Did any of you guys try the extra cooler? These things have limited cooling extra cooler did wonders on mine.

Got one, removed it because my 16 inch track was always hitting the hose. But sled never overheat with it. NOw, sled overheat more easily

I build my own rear cooler, just a 1 by 4 aluminum tube welded the ends shut and welded 1'' tubes to the top on each side. Take a hole-saw and cut the holes in the top of the tunnel.
The cooler mounts under the tunnel however the hoses are out of the way on top.
Cost was $ 20 for the material this unit is way tougher than any other cooler and works perfect on my TRX1.
Battery on my camera is dead I can get a pic to you later if you need one.
