Hey everyone , just did SLED DOGS air box mod on my 04 warrior ,added 170 mains and silver springs, think I need larger pilots ,I have a heavy bog and idle hang is terrible 3800 rpms , where is the best place to buy some pilots , will the ones listed at Royal distributing work in these carbs ? Hope ya can help ! Thanks

You'll have to go to a dealer and buy them.... probably have to order them. I would go with 20s. When I had my Warrior I tried 17.5, 20, 22.5. 20s were the best. The stock 17.5 worked pretty well though. Before changing pilots try different clips on the needles. Try moving them 1 notch and see if it makes a difference. Also what are your pms screws set at, should be close to 2 full turns from lightly seated. Lastly, the hanging idle could be a carb sync issue, did you sync the carbs? If not you can just make a diy tool for very little $. Make only ONE change at a time and see how it runs, narrow it down.

Havent synced the carbs since I done the mod , how do you make the tool for doing this ?The screws are turned out at 2 turns from seated , do you think the needles will make a difference, had it out for a ride and taped up some of the airbox and the low end bog cleared up some and revved too 10200 with no probs , give it some choke and it idles down but just touch the throttle and revs too 3800 again a bad idle hang too 3800 rpm ,must be lean on the low end circuit .

I would try to lower the clips(raise the needle) and see if it changes anything. The nice thing about messing with needles is you don't have to take the carbs off, just take the tops off. It's easy to try different settings to see how much difference it makes. As far as the diy manometer goes, I can post a picture later, might help more. There is a write up somewhere I think. Basically it is 4 equal lengths of 1/4" clear tube, fill about 1/2 full of 2 stroke oil(any oil will do) connect to vacuum ports, sync cylinders 1 and 2, then 3 and 4, then sync the two pairs together. tip,,,, I think you have to disconnect the fuel pump vacuum line, it will run long enough without it,,,, put some jets in the lines for restriction and it will make the oil bounce way less..... hope this helps... pics later....

Not my manometer but they are all the same, very simple principle...
