I'm thinking of going to either the pilots or slydog trail or powderhounds any thoughts and where is the best place to get the pilots? I like the grip pf the pilots on my wifes renegade and with the stock carbides after 2100 miles still turns better and easier than my simmons with 8 inch triple points.
I have messed with the limiter strap and everything but the renegade will out handle my sled with all of my upgrades the simmons are good for off trail but as far as grip on groomed or hard pack they are nothing compared to the pilots. Any thoughts ideas thanks Mark

mark,
I run pilots and love them. run a dull set of carbides on the outside and a fresh set on the inside and hold on. Of course your suspesion needs to be properly set also.
I found my on HSC. I just saw a set on craigs list last week for $150. They mount real easy. Just swap the metal bushings to the outside. LOL

Do a search and you will read for hours.

It's not the Pilots that is making your wife's sled handle so well, it's the sled itself.
I gave a set of Pilot 6.9s a try on my Nytro last year. I found it pushed in the corners quite a bit, especially when the trails got beat up. It certainly did not make my sled rail.
You want your sled to rail...get C&A Razors...they will make your sled rail.
