just wondering which clutch kit works the best on a stock rx-1. i ride with a guy that just put one in his apex and he couldn't believe the difference. he couldn't remember the name of the kit though. also i will be riding no more than 1000ft above sea level if that make any difference or not. also i want was wondering does a new helix and everything come in a kit or do ya gotta buy everything seperate.

the cheapest most effective clutching mod to do on a stock rx1 is install an orange-silver-orange primary spring available at your local yamaha dealer. as far as kits, there are many to choose from. i personally run dalton dpyr weights and his helix. this is top quality stuff at a good price and is what often comes in others "kits".

i don't know what kit the guy with the apex bought but he got a helix and spring for the secondary and spring and fly weights for the primary and he also put a windage plate, i think that is what he called it on his secondary.

shoot ulmer racing a call. he is site sponsor and i hear good things about his stuff. he will also help you get it dialed right in when you tell him what it is doing over the phone.
added the orange silver orange on my warrior and a dalton helix.before i had a hard time getting passed 10 000 rpm.first time i tried the new set up she ran at 10 700,a little too much,i loosened my cam and now she's right on at 10 200-10 400.if anybody has a hard time getting them to rev just install that spring and she'll turn

that's what mine is doing it is hard to get it to go over 10 grand on the tach. it will run like 9500-9800 consistany the only way is on a super hard packed trail that it will turn up hard. that is dalton gear you are running too which is good cause i am from nova scotia and they are based out of truro so i'll have to find out some more info.

Get a hold of ulmer racing. There is alot to gain with the rx1 clutching.

actually,i ran the dalton without the or sil or spring and didnt improve the rpm's.the spring is where i saw the biggest difference

51-43 if im not mistaken.it was given to me but dont think it did much difference.i think the warrior came stock with those #'s.i will try a different one if we can get snow to try it

Yes, those are the stock helix angles anyway.
