Which front shocks are better: Ohlins, Gytr's, or fox floats? Can anyone with experience with these please rate them for me 1st, 2nd, third!!! Thanks.

I have never used Ohlins, but have used GYTR, Stock, and floats.
If you like to cruise and trial ride the ohlins and GYTR are very good trail shocks. I personally do a little more off trail than most and like the qualities of the fox floats better. Never had a failure of any of them but I do have a buddy that blew out his rear fox float (on a timbersled skid) which left the sled stranded whereas a coil over will still have the spring compression if the the shock blows.

Ratings....

1) Ohlins
2) fox
3) GYTR

this is personal experience... if going to war.. ohlins.. they are just plain beefy and tough. Fox have great ajustability and alot less weight.. GYTR are very good, and a very close second, but some parts used internal could be better.... Now in saying this, i have had my ohlins and fox revalved because of driving style and own preference....

my 2c

Are you talking original floats or float 2's.
It all depends who does the valving in there.
It also depends on riding style.
The original floats gave them a bad name with the valving they had in them for the yamaha's.

My list is
1=Float 2's
2=Ohlins
3=Gyt's

I put floats on my attack and loved them. I added Nextech resi's which I think takes the harshness out of the choppy trails and i ran 48lbs of air. Very smooth and body roll was not a problem because I already had a 13mm sway bar installed. The snow ball effect. Float II's are a better shock and will ride smoother then the original floats.

Pro and Bottlerocket said on this one IMHO. Float 2's on the front on the Apex/Attak chasis just flat out works. With my Float 2's and 13mm sway bar I have ended any body roll through the corners and any inside ski lift i had before.

I have had both floats and gyt's,and out of them two,i like the gyt's best,but not i am getting a set of ohlin for my front from bjwoett,so i will after some miles,know the differance between all three,and report back.

I couldn't tell much difference between GYTR's and OHLINS but just rebuilt the Ohlins from bjowett so hopefully they blow my mind and not my money.

Never had floats would love to try a set for myself, ridden them on other sled and thought they were horrible but we all know its in the set up.

I do not have an opinion in this particular case, but I think your question about "the best front shock" is pretty difficult to answer without knowing which specific Ohlins front shock and which specific Fox front shock you are talking about and also what you are going to do with it.
There are at least three different concepts of Ohlins front shocks as well as Fox front shocks that are available to normal customers. All of them offer different features, different levels of adjustability and maybe also a small difference in quality and durability. The spring and damping specs are different to suit different types of use and different riding styles and the price tags are also different.
Furthermore, the amount of riders that tried all of the shocks in your question on the same sled is very limited. I will be surprised if you find any at all. Couple of Swedish snocrossers competing on Arctic Cats in Europe as well as US have possibly raced Ohlins as well as Fox on the same sled during the same season. Except for them, you will only find riders with lots of experience and relevant feedback about one brand but nothing more than opinions based on rumours about the other brands.

Well said ;)!

tried them all on apex. 1 ohlins 2 gyrt fade more 3 fox ramp up to much, but weight is much less most reason they are used.
