Which model viper

So I'm looking into buying a new viper (actually a pair of them, both me and my buddy) but what I can't decide is what track length ? We have been enjoying the off trail riding more and more lately and know we want something longer than our 128" sleds we
Have now.

What difference will we see with a 137" & the 141" . .?

Can the 141 be ridden on the groomed trails and handle well .?

What would be recommended for a true 50/50 sled ? One that can run 200 miles one day and then run the bowls and hills the next day in the powder ?

A 50/50 sled would be the definition of a cross over so I think the XTX or the new STX DX would be a good fit for you. Love my XTX and I ride more on trail than off. Rides circles around my buddies 121 sleds in the deep stuff.

I think its great but we dont have that many tight twisty trails around here so I might not be the best person to ask

I would think that the LTX would do fine in both areas. If it's deeper powder that the LTX with a 1.6 lug track would be a great on and off sled. The LTX doesn't lose bit maybe a 1/2 of skid. My LTX with the 1.6 is just as good off trail and better on trail with out the sacrifice of a uncoupled skid on trail.

The XTX is better suited to the 80% off 20% on trail and don't expect a groomed trail rocket on trail.

i have a ltx 137 and it is great on the the trail and very good off the trail. we had lots of snow and i would say i was 60% off the trail. a 1.75 inch track may make it almost perfect,

My XTX handles trails awesome, great over bumps. I put slim jim duellies on skies and pulled up on limiter strap. HAMMER DOWN

My take away from a single demo ride on the XTX was that the uncoupled skid lifted lifted the skis too easily for me in on trail situations. I think the coupled skid with the TSL would be a much better choice for on trail and minimal tradeoff for off trail.

I ride an XTX and they handle a little different. Once its setup its great in the trails. No trouble at all with ski lift.

Never been on an xtx but have 2000+ miles on my ltx se. I am 95% trail riding/racing. One thing I can say it that if you get out in the deep snow you have to work pretty hard to really pull the sled around and get the front end to just loft. The sled does good in the deep snow in a straight line but it's not much of a powder carving sled because of how the chassis and suspension is setup. The ltx models were designed for trail riding and to stay flat and planted. When u try to pull a ski and carve the sled almost wants to work against you to stay flat. Completely different than what my apex or nytro used to be like in the aspect that you could spin those on a dime. The 137" model would be great in theory for what you want but I feel you will be more satisfied with the xtx if 50% of your riding is off trail. The uncoupled rear suspension on the 141 will allow you to pull the front end up more easily and hold it there which is the key to off trail riding. The 137 I have a feeling will fight you all day riding off trail

I got the LTX SE. So far love it. Put on a good set of skis (Curves) and carbides and it is like night and day. I do not do much deep snow off trail stuff. But for distance and riding on trails. Sweet.

Seeing that white/blue RTX LE on the Supertrax site really makes me want one, but of course not available on the 137"
