could use some advice on this one,,,my 03 rx1 er,12,000 miles is making a whining noise from right side chain case area,,it makes this noise when you accelerate or slow down, you can hear it up past 35mph then the machine either drowns out the noise or it lessens,you also can hear it at the same level when you slow down, kinda sounds like the noise when a sled brakes kinda just before you stop..if that makes sense,I am just about to check jack shaft and take the case cover off and have a look see,,anyone run into this sort of thing??i put a track sprocket drive bearing(chain case side) in last year but when it went it didnt sound at all like this,,maybe i left something loose

MIne did that when I had the chain just a titch too tight. Try doing the dufll adjustment procedure to make sure that isn't it.
