I have been looking at covers. I don't see any that actually "capture" the towers as I would call it. they all seem to have bit of the tower hanging out of the cover.Cat newest version, Precision EFI, SSI, Bikeman all sell a reinforced stronger ADAPT cover that captures the towers.
maybe the Tricked Toys( Lewis Performance) cover comes the closest?
This cover looks as though it may actually wrap around the towers.

Lewis one is what you want. Some of these companies are already on revision 2, 3, etc. The SSI one I have is made like that Lewis one, captures towers so they don't flex.

Ive had SSI, Bikeman, and Thunder Products. Thunder Products was my favorite. Real tight fit around the towers and had a longer bushing than stock and looked to be made of the same material as the bushings they ise in their 911 covers. My friend had the carey lewis cover and pefi had recalled them due to the bushings walking out and his bushing had come out and it ate all the buttons and moveable sheave bushing on his adapt. I havent heard of any other issues though.

I wish Thunder would incorporate their belt adjuster into the cover like the other 911 covers. I have had one on a couple of sleds. Being able to adjust moveable sheeve to belt clearance makes a big difference on how the clutch engages. I believe it also keeps heat down in that low area of the primary.

No. It wraps around end like Lewis one. I bought it maybe 2+ years ago. They must have changed it for some reason. So it is not like what is shown above?

I just looked. PEFI doesn't show it on their website. Must have pulled it due to issues?

FYI - so far, ADAPT has held up. Time will tell. About 2,500 miles on Stage 4 PLUS 98 full throttle pulls (including 53 full anti-lag drag starts on Ulmer track dyno). Spider is still nice and snug in towers, no cracking, no binding. Gonna keep running it next season. Hope it holds together. Asking allot of these oem clutches. With an updated cover, can the Adapt handle your Stage 4 PEFI Tune?
Could the clutch handle another 5 mile WOT river run??? Lol

It makes all difference when a clutch is tuned correctly as far as wear and tear and the offset and the center to center is right as to what the clutch will handle and how long it will handle it.. As friction decreases, heat decreases and shift is right on the money a clutch with just a small amount of maintenance will perform for a long time.. Your sled is lighter than most and clutching is better than most so you can look for it to give you many miles of troublefree riding.. When things are wrong with Big Power sleds the weak points show up much faster which is the case on alot of sleds that are not tuned rightFYI - so far, ADAPT has held up. Time will tell. Agree completely about tuning. Getting right balance (primary/secondary) is important. My belt temps are cool vs amount of HP. Primary weight pretty low for amount of HP. Takes pretty long pull to get belt temp up. Both clutches no sign of belt slippage or heat on my IR Razorback gage. What controls how long I'll wfo pull it is engine coolant temp. I lift at 190. Gotta remember, what we see on cluster for coolant temp is temp coming into head after it's been through heat exchangers! If you're seeing 190 (coming in), that probably means what's exiting head is 225+!!! Running this on a 2024 catalyst RXC since zero miles. Barely clears and does not rub side panel. Barely.

I bought my Lewis cover from them. I did get a email saying the bushing could fall out? I did not send it back to them. I never had a issue in 1800 miles with mine. I put a few drops of weeping green locker into back side of bushing. Send it!I just looked. PEFI doesn't show it on their website. Must have pulled it due to issues?
