For those of you out there that got to use the riser bars with last year's set up, let's get some feedback. I recall prior to "precrash" that several had issues with having to get longer throttle cables.
For those of you that used the biggest riser without having to lengthen, how did you like your setup?

I used a 1 inch riser block. with the length of the stock trottle and choke cables it's the tallest you can use. By the way I loved it!!!

I also used the 1" riser block, stock cables were fine. Vast improvment in comfort.

I used the 2" I will not ride without it.
I used a 3/4". The bigger improvement was knocking that stuipid rivet off and rotating the bars up and forward. HUGE improvement and costs $0.
I went with 2 3/4 in rise and Pro Taper bars. I had to get Mtn cables, and I am considering 2 more inches this year, but I will have to find longer cables first..

i've had all sorts of questions for you huh??? why did you go with such a high riser? I know that your sled is set up pretty close to what I'm doing right now, but what benefits do you get out of this?
I guess the reason that I am looking at doing this is the overall riding position on the arms as well as when it's the tough stuff and you have to stand it'd give some more reach.

 2" riser block, 3/4 riser comes with the 1-1/8 Pro-Taper bars, Travis Pastrana bend (high) is really close to the stock bar rise, bars are 2" wider than stock, and have about 2" less on the pullback vs stock. As I am on the tall side, the wider, straighter bars are better for the knees, and I think it is easier to sidehill with, as it takes less effort to tip with the wider bars, and I have no problems reaching across. Also, I went to a Mtn Rx braided brake line and a Mtn parking brake cable... I forgot about that the other day.

I guess it all depends on what kind of riding you do and your height. I am a 6' 1" , aggressive trail rider and stand when it gets rough. I went with the 3/4 inch because I didn't want to run into cable issues. I also cut the nub off so they would go further forward. I was very happy with this setup. I also put plastic ties on the pad underneath the cover to make a V in it so it didn't interfere with the visibility of the guage.
