Why are the Nytro ball joints failing?

Scott the CSR probably rides a Different brand.. And it sounds like he needs a Vacation from the CSR field.

So are there any other options to this problem? Since they are backordered do we just sit here and twiddle our thumbs?

There are aftermarket options that will fit. I have got a set of race car ball joints that will be used if I keep the sled (I have not decided yet...). My plan was actually to use them during this season, but they required custom made spacers that were not delivered until the end of the season (also, I had no problems getting double sets of OEM joints on warranty). I do not know if you can get them in US, but AKrider posted this in a different thread:

If you want a set that will last call Gueco Racing at (907) 694-1600 and ask for Danny. My stock ball joints were junk at 800 miles. My new, improved greasable ball joints at 1700+ miles and two XC races later are still tight.

Thanks for the help. They seem to be the only option as of now. I should have done more searches as I have found a lot more info. Giving the guys at ER yamaha a try.... wish they were my dealer down here.


Funny how when the information doesn't seem like it pertains to you at the time, it goes right past you. I need to take more time to Stop and find the ball joints, so to speak.
