Why was my thread deleted about me being fed up with all the problems on 10000 sled compared to my 07 ski doo.? Does the truth bother the moderators that much? I thought we could speak our minds within reason here!!!!

well we are all hopefully adults! Thats not an answer. :drink:

ANYWAYS i am so sorry about my crow as you say!

My handwarmers do work
I did not have to replace every joint on the front after a few miles.
did not bend my subframe
it does not dart around like a rodeo horse on steroids :drink:
and loved spending $10 g's on such a reliable sled.

But seriously it has a great engine. But everything around it SUCKS :die
:tg: :-o :jump: :o|

No disrespect intended, but I did try to provide an answer. I have developed a solution to the tunnel ice. My hands don't get cold. My feet don't get wet. Parts don't break unless I break them. Overheating? I've never seen that one.

All the issues you've listed have been addressed and discussed and beaten to death. If the practical solutions are unacceptable to you then the answer may lie in the purchase of a different sled. Personally I've addressed the issues you raised plus a bigger one in the rear suspension. I'm smiling now. I guess there are two kinds of people. Those who identify and correct shortcomings, and those who do nothing but choose to get mad about them. Life's too short. Winter's even shorter. Ride 'em, break em, fix 'em.

When did complaining on the internet get confused with taking action about something?

Point taken stewy and yes i do fix um but i am just fed up with fixing things which should not need fixing! If you got a new car from me and you had similair problems i bet you would be screaming at me lemon law! :tg:
Anyway i am going to wait till the snow goes and try and fix these niggly short comings. I am going to close the tunnel off in some fashion. Getting snow eliminators for the running boards, thicker gloves as i always wear mx gloves. I am going to cut either the top or bottom a bars to make them adjustable bit of welding and a couple of tie rods i'll get this thing right so help me :4STroke:

Fair enough. I sympathize with your attitude. I was extremely frustrated with my XTX in the beginning. I'm reeling it in to being a very nice ride. But I enjoy wrenching and re-inventing. After evaluating all the sleds that interested me I couldn't find a single example that didn't require modification to make it into what I wanted. The XTX hasn't been all that problematic when I consider that.

Good luck with yours. Please report on your successes as you have on Yamaha's weaknesses.

There never has been, is not, nor will there ever be, a perfect machine. Sure there are brand-loyalists that will be biased towards any brand, and that is fine, but we must draw the line at using this forum as a soapbox. The intent is to openly disuss various concerns AND their modification(s) or solutions, but to just vent and complain has little value to anyone I have to say.
If there was a perfect machine, there would not be a forum with anything to talk about. We are very proud of the creativity and ingenuity of our members, and many people rely on those qualities of our members to help them improve their riding experiences.
We ask that if you have a complaint or concern, please use this site as a tool to imrove YOUR experience, but refrain from just complaining without asking for help or offering any suggestions.

handling, get a set of spindles from 09
have your shocks revalved as well.
warmers, buy a kit from rockmeister, i have one and they are so hot you only run them on high for initial 5min.
slide wear has been discussed at length, buy bigger wheels, install extra wheels.

if you think the grass is greener on the other side, guess what. Other sleds wear slides, carbides, break suspension, blow shocks, blow pistons, eat cylinders, etc etc etc. people on that side do the same thing, fix the problem and ride it.
