im having problems with mine (dynojet wideband bosh 5 wire). i remember the last ride it was making the needle on the guage go everywhere so im assuming it burnt out?? or can they be cleaned? i just started it up in the shop and the needle on the guage went up and down a few times and then it pegged to 18/1. thanks for the help guys!

Are you running leaded fuel? I know a guy who had nothing but problems with bosh O2 sensors and leaded fuel in his race car. They would quit reading accurately after a short period, sometimes less than one season, which for a 1/4 mile car is not very long. I am not sure if he has switched brands or if he just packs a spare.

Have you contacted Dynojet? Does it stay pegged if you squeeze the throttle several times rapidly because it should go slightly rich if you do that. Other than that check all connections, make sure the insulation hasn't been melted of rubbed off of the wires. Also, did you let it run long enough to warm up the sensor because they need to be warm in order to work properly. Is it a Wideband Commander? If it is and you use your computer to program it try reloading the program in case it is a glitch it the Dynojet box. I have never heard of one burning out. I have been running the same one in my race car for 6 years.

Recalibrate it. i know with my innovate. i can reset it and do a free air calibration. i'm not familiar with dynojet.

well i pluged it in and the computer program says its running 18:1 like the guage so i ordered a new sensor, there goes another hunday towards the sled! oh well you cant put a price on fun!!! thanks for everyones help!

You can usually get those sensors on ebay at a pretty good price. I had to get a new one for mine only got a couple months out of it but i did run 100ll a few times :o| i'm thinking thats what killed it.

How do you have your wideband commander wired? If you leave power to the wideband without the sled running and the sensor is sitting there heating itself up it can shorten the sensor life as well.

now that you mention that, mine will say that if the sled isn't running. So the sensor is bad. Allen can probally get you one.

i have mine wired so it only comes on when the engine is running, i ran it all last year with the nitrous and didnt have any problems until the last ride when it started going goofy, new sensor will be here this afternoon so i will update then.

make sure you wire to key on power. It has to warm up before you run the sled, or your just taking life off of it.
