I dont know about him but I have the sled and the motor will be in my 03 RX-1 by Sunday. Mnay people will be surprised to see (or not) a fuel injected 03. Tee Hee Hee.
I do have a lot of good parts for sale from the bulkhead on back Mono Shock suspension, studded rip sawtrack, tunnel, seat, starter, heat exchangers and so on.

Oh yeah the motor damage consisted of the water pump, the oil cooler housing next to the filter and the right side crank case cover. All of these parts changed over from my blown 03 motor. Several of the wires were ripped when the nose was sheared but the electonics look ok. The lower pan oil line is bent and the Oil tank is toast but I dont need it. The side mount radiator and fan is fine and compression is right on spec. The motor must have shut down on impact when the electronics were amputated. Even with the damage to the oil tank there was still oil in the bottom of the engine and lines.
I am keeping my fingers crossed. This will either turn into one hot little project or one truly expensive paper weight.

I think the Apex was a good deal considering how much the engine is worth and the track and suspension look good. Just for the hell of it I checked out some of the other auctions on the site and couldn't believe what people spent for trash. Some of the sleds were sold for crazy money! They could have bought a similar used sled with no damage for just a few bucks more! I think that alot of these auctions have become useless because people bid stuff up just so they can be the "winning bidder"!! I love it when I buy something on Ebay and they send me a Email saying "congratulations your the winning bidder"! What a joke!
