Good morning tore head off of engine spark plug broke off in number 3 reinstalled head timed engine to what manual says but no start have spark and fuel pretty sure timing is correct the stator end of engine is back of engine am I right number 4 end so I would be turning that end counter clockwise to actually find tdc on number 4 right ? And help would be great thanks

What sled? I assume it's an Apex.
With the timing marks on the flywheel aligned #1 cylinder is on TDC (cam Chain side).
Check that you cam shafts are on the dots.

You may have a look at my Turbo Garage thread, link in my signature.

Hello and thanks ,yes it is a 06 apex i will go out to shop and recheck timing
i was setting the timing by the number 4 cylinder at top dead center from a manual that i found on here must have been for the older 4 strokes

If you need the Apex service manual PM me Your email address and I'll email them to you.
#1 cylinder and #4 is on TDC simultanously :-)
Never turn the engine backwards when setting TDC or Cam Timing, you will be off.
Turn the engine in the running direction always.

thanks for the timing information ,sent you a pmfor the manual :)

i timed it still won t start ,took a compression test it shows only 60 to 80 pounds of compression across the board
is it possible for it to be floooded that bad that there is no compression i put a few drops of oil in the cylinders it brought the compression right back up but still won t start .

checked compression yet again down to 60 again, will try changing oil in it ?looks to be a little thin looking maybe from being flooded

it has spark checked that ,its gettting fuel plugs were wet ,
Is there anything else to look for

Service Manuals are in the email.

You could be 180 degree off on the timing.

Please post pics of:
Flywheel on the timing mark.
Cam shafts on the timing marks.
Then we should be able to tell if Your timing is off.

Feel free to post this again in the Supercharger and Turbocharger forum, you will get a lot more response there.
The boost guys have a lot of experience beetween them.

If you want to I can make a copy of Your thread in the S&T Forum.
