Usually when my Vector sits for 6-8 weeks it takes a little to start, but it starts. I started it back in June, it ran fine, and last week I went to start it and wore the battery down 3 times still no fire. I squirt a little gas in the carbs and it will fire but for only 15-20 seconds then nothing. I pull the outlet hoses off the fuel pumps but no fuel squirts out when you turn the motor over. I took the fuel pumps apart and there was gas in them, no dirt or grud. Haven't pulled the carbs yet, thats the next thing. Any ideas?

Did you treat the gas before storage? Gas with Ethanol has a short shelf life so it may have gone bad. Drain it and try it again with fresh gas. I normally remove the air box cover and while cranking the engine I'll put my hand over each of the carb openings to help pull gas in.

Yes I treated the gas. Will it still go bad after treating? What I don't understand is it was fine in June. I can try like you and remove the air box.

It's an 06. The gas was from the winter, but treated. I did go back out and pull the air box and put my hand over the carbs like grizztracks said and it did fire, better than it has all week, but the battery was worn down. I am charging the the battery, drained all the fuel and I'm going to put fresh in, then try it in an hour or so.
This has been discussed before. You need to to pressurize the float bowls when the carb vectors sit for a while the same with the rx1's.Take an airhose and blow on the vent line and they usually fire right up.

What do you mean pressurize, or blow on the vent line? Do you know the thread or how I should search? Thanks

If you do a search on pressurize carbs there are many more too.

Finally got her running. Did like grizztracks said, as I was turning the motor over I covered each carb and it started to fire, then sat and ran fine. Thanks guys.
Blowing into the over flow hose and putting your thumb over it to hold the pressure while you crank works great too like pro116 said.

I used to start/run mine in the summer as well, thinking it was a good thing to do. I had the same problem as you. It would not start. Tried everything except for the simplest thing. Something you apparently rarely have to do with a four-stroke.
I changed the plugs and it fired right up.
