I have a 2001 Kodiak Ultramatic. I have tried to start it and all I hear is this little thing under the seat that has about 5 or six wires going to it, chatter. Not sure what that means. Can anyone give me some tips? Thanks in advance
Dan

That little deal under the seat just chatters. It won't even start manually. If I remember right, a long time ago I had to hit that deal under the seat with screw driver and then it engaged.

That would be your starter, may need replacement, if its engaged and stuck it wont pull over.

That little deal under the seat that is clicking is the starter relay. When they click like that it is usually a sign of the relay being bad or the battery voltage being low or a loose battery cable. Check your battery cables and the condition of the battery and if those are okay it usually is the relay. We sell those relays for around $30 - if you need one let me know. Thanks

Kev, I thought it may be the selinoid clicking on the starter.... thanks for jumping in on this.

thanks guys. I'll check it when I get up. Rough nite and need some sleep. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks again. Great site.

Thanks for the help guys. So far it looks as tho it is just the battery. If it keeps a charge for the next 2 weeks without loosing juice, I'll be good to go
