Used???? This thing could leave you for dead on a sub-zero night. Please buy a new fuel pump. It is worth the money. Just my .02. Good luck.

I'll bet that the one in your sled is used. Do you put in a new one every time you go out riding or every year?

If I have a problem with a key component on my sled it gets replaced with a new one, now if you can get a fuel pump that is rebuilt and is electrically sound then that might be a decent bet, but to go and buy a used fuel pump which may have more miles than the one that just went bad, and to ride in the conditions that a snowmobiler has to deal with, seems like Russian Roulette to me. Do what you want, as I said just my .02.

How do you know when parts are electrically sound?
