It will fire up and run for rough for a little while and then will quit. Tried new plugs (Old ones black) and same results. It's like the choke is not working and it will not go to high idle when I normally fire it up. Any ideas before I take it to the shop? Lots of snow here in northern Wisconsin and it's a bummer with a down sled.

Bypass the TORS switch (throttle overide) and test it. I have heard of some problems with it. Unfortunatly I do not know how to do that you may have to connect 2 wires together coming from your throttle. Some others on the site will have better info on this.

The high idle is entirely a matter of timing. It can't fail unless the CDI is completely cooked, or the temperature sensor is always reading warm.

Definitely sounds like a fuel problem. Make sure that your choke plungers are working - if there is any ice stuck in them, or if they are out of adjustment, your choke may be staying on. Give the carbs a thorough cleaning and check your choke cables, and you should be ok.

Also, check your carb vent lines that are routed next to your battery. Make sure they are not restricted or pinched. Good luck. :)

I got it to run finally. It was flooded big time! My mistake was to go to Mexico with the boys and told my wife to go riding with the girls with my sled. Bad idea!! Bad idea!!
