Can't wait to try out the 16" legs on that sled. My 15 year old son is very excited about jumping it as well. The design of the sled was very bold at first but looking at how much suspension it has just makes me want to jump it as well.

Gonna have to say no. The look is actually growing on me, but the Phazer with the decent shock package (which an adult would need if you're going to ride it very hard) is more then the cost of an F7 or Poo 600 HO. Makes no sense to spend $7000.00 + just to get a small 4 stroke engine. For ditch banging, a 2 stroke makes sense anyway. Not as many miles put on, no need for WOT for 50 miles and best power to weight ratio. As an entry level sled, maybe, but I can't see spending $6000.00 + on a sled for a 10 year old kid. I guess if you got the coin to drop, it would be a nice first sled, just not in my budget.

I could see having one for a few years until my daughter was old enough to handle it. Of course, I'd also buy a Ferrari, if I had the money too.

You cannot jump a ferrari, cannot go across water on a ferrari, and most inportant of all,you cannot BACK-FLIP a ferrari in mid-air!Jimmy blaze is a GOD!

The phazer isn’t an RTX replacement, but looks like a sweet ride. Glad Yamaha filled up this missing segment! I can see good things spin off from this new chassis for 08!

Check out the third picture on the bottom row of page 2 for the Phazer FX. No traditional trasfer rods like the other Pro-Active has. Looks like its just got blocks behind the arm for trasfer.

Take them babies out and I bet you could pull some mean wheelies!

For me it´s all about pricing. Specially that Mountain Lite... It has my attention.

I´m 100% sure I´ll go for a test ride soon as possible.

True, however, :ORC: A Ferrari is an investment. After 6 months, the phazer is just another worthless Yamaha 4-stroke.

It's good to see that Yamaha is thinking "out of the box" Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

ATV Snowmobile Hybrid

What a concept. A hybrid between a ATV and a snowmobile. I don't want to pass final judgement till I get to ride one. Could be one slick unit. After all most of the time is not lake riding and long fields but in the tight trails. Why do you need anymore. Yamaha is thinking out of the box with this one. :yam: :4STroke:

After watching the video it certainly doesn't look like a slouch either.

You blew it Yamaha. My 1968 boa ski looked better than that thing.

Ferrari an investment???? You have major service every 5000 miles or so, a service you cannot do for yourself, and the price per service of the Ferrari is so high you can buy a new FX every 5000 miles, LOL. Some Ferrari models are objects of investment though.

I'll take a FX just for the fun of riding at the racetrack every now and then. It's a entry level sled that makes me want to reenter the sport even though I'm in deep already LOL

I think a lot of guys are under estimating an 80 HP sled. In the late 80s I bought a new Exciter. It was a 570 liquid cooled 2 stroke with HP in the 70s and it ripped! It's main competition was the Indy 500 which also had HP in the 70s. Both of these sleds could hit 90 MPH and were very quick.

Would I trade my RTX for an 80 HP sled now? Of course not. But for many, 80 HP will be plenty, and for some I see on the trails, 80 is still too much.
