PS2003 said:I too had to break in the grass with the 2" snow we got. Felt good and I found a potential issue with my new XTX before finding it up north on the first trip. Nothing big but was able to get it rectified in the comfort of my shop instead of the freezing cold trailer in a parking lot. There is some good shake down things that can come from a blast around the house. I am still not sure the XTX is as strong as my 05 RX1 but it felt pretty darn good! Wifes phazer is a hoot. First ride on that one as well.
Care to explain your issue?

Wait 'till you get a few miles on the Nytro & get on it HARD, you'll be changing your tune about it not feeling as strong as an RX-1ton.
The FX Nytro will beat an Apex to 80-90 MPH.... it's certainly faster than an RX-1.

you are correct it way to early to tell anything, but really how much weight diff is there between the RX1 and the XTX the RX1 had a advertised 140 HP while the XTX is advertised 130 HP, this worried me a bit but I am not looking back because the XTX is technologically advanced over the RX1 so?? I loved my RX1 and I am sure I will feel the same about the XTX. It is snappy.

It was a set up problem, easily fixed. Nothing that anyone here should be at all concerned with.

I was able to lift the front end by the bumper almost 2 feet in the air to get it on blocks for my skid plate install. No way I could have done that with the RX-1.
I want to ride with you! Your pretty strong! I lift mine with one hand,,,pumping the floor jack :exc:

I have both an 07 Apex and an 08 Nytro. 2 of my buddies have F7's. The Nytro murders the F7 up to about 1000 ft. Absolutely no contest. (It also beats most 800's up to that point as well) Closer at the 1/4 mile, but Nytro still wins over the F7. Every single time. Over that, the Cat will creep past the Nytro, prob 1 or 2mph faster at the top end. The Apex will start to creep past the Nytro or the Cat after about 500 ft and is about 7-8 lengths ahead at the 1/4 mile. Apex kills F7 at the top end. My Apex and Nytro's are totally stock, no studs, no tricks, typical dealer-serviced sleds, I don't touch them. Both ran much faster after about 1000 miles. Apex runs 12.2 1/4 mile @ 102-104 consistently on good snow, the Nytro runs in the 12.6 range @ 96 or so. One shot last year the Apex ran a 12.1 in the 1/4, with perfect snow on the lake with a slight tailwind. Nothing I have run into has gotten past the Apex that is totally stock. Hope this helps, just being honest with my experience with the sleds. Wig

I beleive that. I just think my RX1 would beat the nytro. My buddy bought an 06 apex and we raced off stock to stock my RX! against his apex and he beat me every time. the RX1 and the apex are crazy fast stock, RX1 just not very good in the handling dept. I rarely ran up against anything on that thing that beat me but I didn't go looking for it either. I have found if you are boistrous about how fast your sled is sooner or later you are going to run into someone that will clean your clock. We are supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow so some more running in the yard to get the general feel of the nytro is on tap.
