Hey Yamaha!!!! Great job for 2013!!!! 2 "new" sleds

Get real, It's time we had a real crossover, and a real mountain sled.

Or wait, maybe we should look after the big market, KIDS!!!

WOW unfunkin believable

unbelievable yamaha you couldn't even give us BNG! i cant even see the difference for a few years now, all the nytros look like 2009's. at least i still have a current sled!. How about a new seat and windshield and tail end plastic or lack there of. some blue side panels and some rocking graphics. at least give us something that looks different. WE CANT LIVE ON THE GREATEST SLED MOTOR ALONE!!!!

anyone else share my happy thoughts? but the bright side is i will put on 200 miles tomorrow.

good luck selling new technology after a snowless winter. Everyone knows Yamaha has something they are not showing us. They are keeping it until they can sell it.

Why call the 120 a SRX, the race legend of the name is now gone! Should of called it a inviter, enticer.... :o| :o|

So how much HP this offers? Warranty at US market?

Yamaha its time to come out with limited edition factory Turbo or Supercharged 200 HP mountain sled. With a belt drive system, 2.5 inch Ascent track, and lighten the sled up by 50-75 lbs. If Yamaha does not do this soon they will no longer sell new sleds because every body will have their older sled already modded out just to keep up with Artic Cat, Polaris, and Ski-Doo. Just my 2 cents.

I wonder what Cat is going to say about Yamaha using the 1990's ZR model to design their new 120.. That is crazy....

Pretty well known in the auto industry today that sales essentially tank after 5 model years of the same vehicle, especially if it essentially unchanged and yami is definitely going to push this.

You gotta believe they are getting ready spring a new model on us soon, or face mass defections, which are likely already happening.

In there defence, they likely won't release a new model until most of the bugs are worked out. I think AC is learning a hard lesson this year, by releasing too early. Yes the 2008 Nytro had issues, but nothing like the engines, fires, belts, cluches, etc that Cat had to endure in 2012.

Unless your factory is in the arctic circle, its pretty hard to test sleds for more than 6 months/year, which makes it a challenge for all manufacturers during product development.....pretty hard to simulate a powder handling or heat/cool/altitude cycles on a computer.

OTM

i firmly believe yamahas "SUPER" launch for the already on their website 2013 xtx backcountry was a last minute swap. I think they were all set to introduce something cool then at the quartely dealers meeting the dealers where like dont you dare, our showrooms are full, this winter sucks, no one is buying. so they pulled the new model and dropped the xtx again.
before yamaha launched that model, it was on the website as a limited 2012, and my buddys had already seen it on the dealership floor in maine!!

Cat helps me stay with Yamaha each and everyday, I can put you in touch with a proud Cat owner, 2012 800 had a "stock" Nytro leave him at 600 feet and never look back, then blow a belt later in the day causing over $500 in damage. Ever see what happens to cheap white paint over plastic when a belt grenades?
