WRP +2 Seat Install on a 2014 Vector LTX

When you say spray adhesive, you do mean just where the foam meets the seat pan right? not where the seat cover touches the foam I hope.

You probably would have had better luck using a large kitchen chef knife vs the box cutter and dremel.

Correct....between the pan and the foam.

Pictured is the rear of the seat and the glovebox opening. A hidden benefit of the new foam is that you have a bit more storage.

I installed the new Heat Demon seat heater pad and covering foam, then put the seat cover over the new seat and adjusted it front-back and side-side.

So then using my SureBonder air stapler with 1/4" SS staples, I put a few staples in the back, then the front...tightening before doing the front. Then side to side, tightening as I went.

Stapling side to side and tighteng the cover as I went along SLOWLY, here's the finished seat.

Installing the seat on the sled was a breeze. Just make sure you tuck the front of the seat underneath the gas tank cover.

And here is what it looks like after it's installed! The tail light pod fit perfectly too!

I have the ballistic nylon Yamaha tank bag and rear saddlebags. There was no change in the fit of them.

To summarize I am very, very pleased with the seating ergonomic improvement. It was well worth the $300 expense and I wish I had done this a year ago. To me the stock seat is too low and feels mushy....not just soft....it's hard to describe.

Over the past year + of owning the sled I've taken some measurements. I felt that 3-4 inches of seat rise was needed and I still think this is true. Hopefully the styrofoam that WRP used when building the seat will stand up to the 2000-3000 miles I average per year. But for now, I am one happy camper and have fallen in love with this sled all over again!

PM me or ask here any questions you may have. I'll be more than happy to answer them as best I can!

Well done. Any more info on the wiring?

Thanks! If you mean the wiring for the tail light, nothing changes at all. You are using the stock seat pan and the tail light wires are not disturbed in any way.

No the seat heater?

I had the seat heater already wired to the sled. In post #18 you can see where I put a small slit in the foam for the seat heater wire. When the wire was far enough down, I used a punch to poke a hole through the foam to get to the inside of the seat.
