I must say not only does the seat look fantastic... but it makes it feel like your sitting on a new sled
!!! Here are some pictures of the before and after. I removed all the staples and sanded the old holes to where the plastic was smooth. I ran a new set of 14gauge wire next to the original wire harness just encase it was ever needed, i figured this was a good time to do it. I also included images of what i did for the trunk space, you will notice it is all black. I used a flexible rubber sealer for the seat itself and cut out a section of the old seat and just stapled it on the back end. Now i just need to install this M20 Airwave i just recently scooped up
... It will be my first time removing a skid hopefully the install isn't to difficult

Outstanding job!! Never thought about putting that seat on the older sleds. Nice work!

Newbie here so this may be a dumb question.
But does that seat mod make it better, worse or no difference if you wanted to take a passenger?
Been wanting an affordable way to make mine a two person sled.
Thanks.

You can buy a "Seat Jack Passenger Seat Kit" Dennis Kirk has them. However, they are about $500. I wouldn't recommend using your RX1 as a 2-up or at least not exceeding 400lbs on that sled. As for the seat itself, if you had too, two people can fit on it and be more comfortable than the stock seat without a doubt. Here is what the foam looks like.. Its super thick compared to the stock seat!Newbie here so this may be a dumb question.

if you take the time to re-set the suspension, it is probably fine but most guys only run it set for their weight/riding style and do not change it when they ride 2-up. been there done that.
