XTX Ski Presure....

Just took my Simmons off and put back on the pilot 6.9 back on, with two days that was enough. My shoulders were shot. But it would turn around cones on pavement. way no much front bite for me. Play with the center shock and let us know results. Simmons told me 3rd hole back which is where the old mount hole was on the v2's. Maybe the farthest hole back is better little less pressure.

Xtx is set up with soft rear springs and sags too far into the travel, which causes the rear arm too couple up early and load the #*$&@ out of the front. Back off the coupling nuts all the way first, then set the sag with the rear springs with the rider seated on the sled. Sag should be 1/3 total travel. It's not recommened to adjust ski pressure with the center shock, instead back off spring pressure on ski shocks.

Adjust control rods for maximum transfer, tighten front/rear shock spring to about 3/4 tight, and set floats around 60psi. My 2009 does not have floats but I set the springs very light. My wife rides it and I let her ride it without making any adjustments. It turned way to hard and was 'twitchy'...even with my slydog ski's.
After making the adjustments as indicated above I was very happy. She rode it 130 miles this past weekend and wanted to keep riding!

Berge, When have near same set up, Hygear sport set up with triple rates and my front shocks springs are loosened up near rattling and the transfer is at max in rear. If I'm needing less ski pressure your saying to add pressure to front /rear spring in skid. Sorry for poor understanding.

Hy gear will tell you NOT to use the center shock spring preload to adjust ski pressure because it creats a hump in the middle of the sled, and as the wieght transfers it rolls over this hump and gives you bad handling. I have a 3/8-1/2 gap on the tender spring, when seated. Your tender spring controls you ride hieght and if it's to soft, you may have to go with a stiffer spring. If the rear springs are saggin your skid may be riding low in it's travel, and that will give stiff steering. I added a stiffer rear spring and it helped balance the sled.

I loaded the front skid spring, Set the Floats to 65lbs, pushed the ski's all the way forward or used the rear mounting holes, moved the rear springs to "M" on the preload, set transfer rods to max, built my own relocator, checked for binding, I TRIED EVERYTHING, THE SKI'S ARE COMING OFF!!! Nothing worked!!! Thanks for all the help guys, these ski's are just too aggressive.

Got a friend with a set of USI Tripple Threats, would these help or hinder my situation???

The answer all depends if you'll sell me the Simmons 3's cheap? LOL
