Try adding the Hygear spring spacers, I believe that helps add some preload to the stock springs.

I' have the hygear x package, but looking for stiffer torsion springs. I have the spacers, not helping. rear shock bottoms on every G out,and feel like the rear of the sled is way under sprung. I want to try springs before I mess with the valving.

whats your dressed weight? I have the torsion spacers and pioneer revalved mine...I go 220 dressed and run in the softest setting and havent come close to using the stroke available...key to me here...I tightened the senter shock spring and that seemed to increase the usable range of the rear! ?

I agree with SJ on the center spring. The center spring and shock play a big part on these sleds because of the rider position. Which is over the front of the skid.
But will add, that if your set-in is with in reason with the springs you have, you should be controlling bottoming with shock valving, not the springs.

adjusting rods for more coupling will stiffen the second stage of compression. doesn't lift skis as easy on holeshot, but wont bottom out

Exactly. Establish the correct set in. Step one in proper skid setup method. If you can get it in specs (2.5"-3.5" or so?) using the rear spring adjusters (and front skid spring depending on set up!), you have enough spring. That makes that decision easy. If you are still bottoming with correct sit in, then you should be looking at your valving/clickers, or going with more coupling.
Something I don't see discussed often are the X-Click overload cams. They're cheap compared to the price of springs, and work great when you have marginal rear springs for your weight! They have a 4th position on the cam that they say offers 20% more preload.....that's MORE than enough for most guys.
