Just wondering if anyone has come across, or used, any other stud patterns for an XTX besides a 152 count pattern? I am planning on using Woody's Mega Bite studs - I Absolutely LOVE THEM. I first tried them on my '01 SXR (121"), and 96 of them seemed to work as good or better than 144 of the basic plain-jane studs. Just thinking it would be nice if I didn't have to use 152 of them if I didn't have to....
i put one set of dbl backers in every lug, alternating sides, ended up with two in the same side due to the 57 lugs.... but 114 studs, i really like it, seems to work good.

I put 116 of the mega bites on mine. I used woodys universal template and went with the 96 stud pattern for a 121" track. Gives you 2 studs per row no doubles and I used the round backers. About 700 miles on them and no problems so far.

I used the same pattern. 114 down the middle. You don't need any more than that... that pattern give plenty of bite with this motor.
