xtx swaybar unhooked???

Has anyone unhooked there sway bar and found a good way to fasten it to the frame without completly removing it from frame, ? I am taking my once a year trip out west and would like to try it with bar unhooked.. Also will the front shocks need to be stiffened up. spring preload or compression dampning?? Thanks for any info
