Yamaha "a marketing company"

lots of crying going on. we need new skis, we need warmer hands, etc. the new sled has them and still no ones happy. as for weight its 100 lbs lighter than that fat turbo turd cat, but thats not enough either, we want it built out of tupperware and aluminum foil like a doo so we can buy all the required braces from the aftermarket. not enough horsepower, how can you tell from a picture? the mach z from 05 to 07 had plenty of power and was so popular they couldent keep up on production-not. all the people crying about crap like plastics and headlites and threatening to jump ship, go ahead, its your right to buy whatever you want, just quit crying and do it, yamaha will still continue on without you. no company will ever build the perfect sled for everyone, period.

who is we? I added new skis and a yamaheater which cost a few hundred bucks. New skis and warm hands are somthing yamaha should have addressed years ago. Those two items have zero to do with this coversation. You are another person hung up on one line in my post. If all you want is for yamaha to fix a couple issues they should have address years ago good for you. I want more and I'm willing to pay

Loudelectronis: number one you need to remove the "jewing" you down line! There Jewish people on the forum and that is an offencive statment

second who said they don't like eps?? It is a very cool option

Most of your post talks about hp. My post had one line on hp. There were 9 lines total that addressed effcent, and good handling.
This 9 line section, along with the explanations of what the lines mean, was really good and is the kind of information a manufacturer needs to drive future development. Unfortunately, it gets lost in a lot of other emotional rhetoric.

Maybe a separate thread titled "What I believe makes a Game Changer" or something similar would have a more positive effect.

Just a thought :dunno:

Stop your wining dirkdigger your post was directly about how disapointed about the game changer. All 9 lines of it, if you would like to reword your post then do it, but from what you wrote most people interpeted the same way so it's not just one person . And it's fine to post what you thought about the Game changer, but don't sit there and think it's wrong for us to post are opinions, personally my first post wasn't direct to you, if you read this topic and 2-3 others on this thread there is alot of unhappy people... I did the same thing as you most customers are looking for dependible, efficent, good handling sled..

No I don't have a problem with racers, just race on a lake or someplace safe, not on a groomed trail like alot of people are doing..And I don't see why people expect to do all this R@D for a 165hp sled when the Apex makes 150 already, what are you going to get out of it 4 more mph..Is there a problem with a 2 up ?? LOL

Good call. I was not using that term to down anyone.

I was just using EPS as an example. Even though it is going to be on there for the benefit of us, people are going to complain about it.

...How much would it really cost to add some hp? They already have power plants that make big power.

Most engine development projects start at $5 million, and end up at $10 million. You want more power, stop whining and go buy yourself a stage 1 MCX turbo. On an Apex they make 290HP and will run over 140mph. You can then be THE fastest 1%'er. End of story.

This new sled release got a hornets nest going :exc: On snowwest there complaining and HCS(Hollow Cranium Sledder)well, lets not go there :-o .Most of the magazines seem to be really impressed with the new sled.Hope the HP figure don,t start WWIII :o| .

Listen when you start riding somthing other then a touring sled come talk to me until then shut your mouth!!!

It's my right to have an opinion!!! I want to know why people feel the need to challenge people over a personal opinion????

Jason; loud electronics lives very very close to me & is an expert on everything. Anyway..ya we have issues with our sleds..but..I really prefer fixing the odd small issue here & there vs spending days/weeks/months waiting for parts in a service department.
Case in point...my good friend owns the local doo dealership. A guy walks in with a blown up 09 800 renegade with 200 miles. Sorry but take anumber. It,s gonna be 2 weeks before we get to it. Get in the line up.I feel your pain Jason but the grass ain,t greener on the other side & I am the only yammie guy in a sea of yellow out here!!!

dd since when do you have to ride something other than a Touring sled to have an opinion, your points are valid sounds like you ride in the mountains.I didn't notice anyone on here bashing the new mountain platforms for 2010 from Yamaha,so why is it that you must express your opinion on a trail sled if it sounds like you ride in the pow.If you don't ride trail keep your comments to yourself,I personally don't care wether you pow guys like the new trail sled or not I pay good money for a trail permit(where as you pow guys don't) and I want a trail sled that will keep me riding longer. Now quite your adolescent bitching and go enjoy your Mt sled. :yam: :rocks:

Shut your mouth LOL !!! Sounds like you are a boy on a mans website.. I hope you don't get a chance to buy the new Apex sounds like you are to inmature to handle it anyways, stick to the Phazer untill you grow up and under stand that EVERYONE is allowed to there opinion you are not the only one..And my first post was not directed to you alone...If you want to take a few reading classes go back and read where I said that most people want a dependible, efficient, good handling sled pretty much what you stated in your first post..Don't really know what the issue is ????

I drive a touring sled because I have kids that enjoy snowmobiling but are to young to drive on the trails, so at the time a touring sled was my choice.I load the kids up and go 50 or so miles for breakfast or lunch etc...Plus we have a cottage and do alot of ice fishing ..

mike that story sound the same as mine posted in the rs section. My wides vector put two rods through the motor 3 weeks ago. It had 400 miles on it. I give yamaha credit we got it back in 9 days with a brand new motor. Point being it happens to every company. I know yamaha is by far the most reliable on the snow.

Yamaha brought out the "Game changer" with the 03 RX-1. Where would we be today if that never happened??

why pick on the two up's we studed my dads and put heel clickers on her she runs with my apex to 85 mph and embarasses most 600 class sleds, talk about a sleeper thats fun to play with. my dads 70 years old now and bitches about me always looking to go quicker but he's the first one to go line up and smoke some kids on their hot rods. lol
