i am looking for a seat coner for my apex and who makes the best one? factory yamaha the gripper one or skins? and is there anymore i seem to have a hard time finding them

Ihave not used either, but I can tell you that I would not like a very sticky seat. Too hard to shift weight from side to side if your butt is glued to the seat. JMO

ya i not sure but i need a cover and oem one is 550$
check classifieds for a whole seat, or go to a upolstry shop for a custom cover??

I got this place to make me one three years ago and its held up real good with the sticky top.He made it with the colors I wanted.I was very happy with the job they did and service.

Its bin sitting this summer with no cover in the garage.Three seasons on or 15000 Km.Its similar to my other 06 apex gt.

finaly found a dealer with a yamaha gripper seat cover still in stock cause for some reason yamaha stopped making them 215 with shipping

HX, did you just get it recovered or did you also add some foam?
I am kicking around the idea of adding a couple inches of firm(er) foam to my 40th but would like to try/ride someone's sled first who has done it.

If you ever get to the TY rides im usually at most of them, you can try mine. I reccomend it, its just that much better. I added it to underside of oem foam so ne need to reshape anything. Looks allmost stock in appearance.

i already had foam added so just recovering it now my old cover is getting alittle rough looking
