Yamaha generator

I was just going to buy it from him, but every time i look at one, or even look at an inverter, i think, What am i going to run so i know how big to get? The answer is always - nothing. Camping for me is in a pop-up camper and everything i need is 12volt. Microwave maybe?

we use it for coffee in the morning, the microwave, the a/c in the summer, cgarging the batteries, specially in the spring, sometimes it dips below 0 and the furnace never stops,i usually let the 1000 run all night

will run a small microwave or the coffe pot.

we are running the canadian tire equivilent to the one i posted and it is going on 2 years of 16+ hrs a weekend all summer with no problems. at $100.00 at can tire, i just throw it out and buy another one when it quits. works good enough for what i need.

heck went from burning 5 gallons of gas a weekend to 2 gallons. just the gas alone was worth it.

Dunno if this can help you but this video shows one running:

For the wattage, take the amperage of your pump and multiply by the voltage (120) and this will give you the maximum wattage it uses. For example, if it says 3A, this would be 360W.

That's what it will need once it is running. Keep in mind that a motor draws a little bit more when starting and coming up to full speed, unless it has a soft start.

View attachment 151657 Hi everyone. Own a 1992 Yamaha EF1000. Years built 1985 - 1998. It is definitely as reliable as a generator can be. Being 84cc it is understressed unlike the new honda and Yamaha that are 50cc. EF1000 has steel panels so it is a little heavier than the new ones and little louder but definitely has a better build quality because it is made in Japan and not China like the new ones and for all of you honda lovers new Hondas are made in Thailand. Once a year i replace Yamalube conventional 10W 40 in it and the oil is always clean and never low. Being a 27 years old and all original except the oil and air filter it has always started on the first pull warm and even sometimes cold never more than two pulls cold. Amazing built quality! Congratulations Yamaha! I think at 43 years old it will last me for life. I owned 1989 Honda EX650 and it was almost as quiet as EF1000 and almost as heavy but the generator part stop working. Yamaha is definitely the one to go with and in my opinion and experience better than a Honda. Some of the new Yamaha inverters/generators are still made in Japan like the EU1000IS and the EU3000ISEB but all the Hondas are made in Thailand and some in India. Yamahas all have a fuel gauge and a fuel shut off valve so while the inverter is still running you can run all the gas out of the carburetor for long storage and Hondas do not have this option. Yamahas also have brushless generator and Hondas do not and Yamaha's longer emission compliance period definitely makes a Yamaha better inverter/generator and my old EFl1000 is proof.
