I'm about half way through my install - I'll try to post some pictures when I am done.

Have about 2000 miles on my mountain. Overheated numerous times when riding any distance on hard packed snow. The killer on the mountain is the back edge of the short track frame that hangs down thus preventing snow returning from the back of the track from getting on the cross over pipe. Regardless there is not enough cooling. Installed the rear cooler for a mountain max 700 on the rear overhang and problem solved. Have only seen the temp light on once since cooler installed and that was due to riding on hard pack with the flap caught in the track, preventing snow from getting onto the rear cooler. One side efect of this rear cooler is the ice that builds up on the extension. Have to stop once in a while to remove it, but still alot better than running hot.

Yep there's a problem
Over heated 8 times this weekend. Running down hardpack, which could not cool her down. I can only wonder what it will do when the temps begin to increase in the days ahead. Must be nice to start off and end up only in powder, but I can't. I have to run to the powder, and back again, sometimes that it several miles. When I do that (and my friends 04 mountail also) they both over heat.
I called my dealer who sells few mountains, and told him to get the exchanger ordered.
Meantime, anyone with a heat guage attached to their machine, I have a question.
Better to run slower to the snow fields, or kick it in the keister??
Treewhacker??

My brother has a Warrior and he has only had the light come on once.. Then again now he rides pretty close to me and I think I kick up enough snow to keep his sled cool... We are running on hard packed railbeds in NH all the time..
I too am a lucky one I just finished putting my sled through 600 klics of trail riding in the trees very slow and it was 8 above centigrade no problems at all. I had to add antifreeze when I got the sled from the dealer as it was low and I filled it up as high as I could maybe some sleds are low on fluid. I also have been running Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil also and that will make any engine run cooler.
