Yamaha snowmobile bike

I was looking threw a new 4 wheeler magazine today browsing at the industry news section and it showed a picture of Yamaha's new snowmobile bike, the mag said this snowmobile bike will be in Yamaha dealerships come spring, picture showed a Yamaha 450 bike with some sort of snowmobile front end and two skis and bolt on track on the back, the throttle was a atv style lever so not sure if its using snowmobile style clutching or gears, it did not look like a snow bike but was similar, has anybody seen this yet?

Yamaha Canada entered an agreement with camso’s Snowbike division. They’re not going to make a factory snowbike, yet, but Camso’s using the 450’s as displaybike, etc. There was a blurb in snogoer, or amsnow. I forget where I read it.

I can't for the life of me remember the magazine I was reading at the stand, either dirt wheels our atv world, but there was a picture of the snowmobile bike in the industry news section, what stuck out in the picture was the snowmobile front end and the fact it would be offered at the dealerships this spring, is this the direction Yamaha is headed.

These guy's do make a nice kit, but the one I seen had two skis like a snowmobile front end mounted to the front of a 450 Yamaha dirt bike with the track kit mounted on the back of it, that's kinda what it looked like in the picture in the magazine to me, I have never seen one like this before, maybe this is something new Yamaha is offering for the snow bike.

Seen five of these come by at a trailside break near Pine Stump junction last month. Between the price of kit and the bike I would much rather have a sled any day. Besides they were rutting the groomed trail with narrow track.

You sure it wasn't Dirtwheels April issue? They have been known to make some pretty good photoshop creations for that issue.

Well if what I seen in the picture is true, than I believe this is a trail version of the bike conversion kit making the bike more stable for trail riding, you may see a lot more of them on the groom trails.
