Yamaha Tric ice Scratchers

I still say they stole the idea for these scratchers from the innovative people on this forum. They should donate something to this forum for every set sold.

Home made cable scratchers its almost the same thiing other than the different kind of pick used and hooked up in the exact same spot. Yamaha copied them from here.

Just installed a set, yes if you look close there is a left and right, that way they point inwards to form a V spray at the track. Also you mount them on the inside of the sway bar link. Don't forget to use red lock tight on the carbide studs. Part number on the package was SMA-ICESC-01-ST

You missed a great ride on Saturday - hope your back is doing well. Nice test run Rush City to Luck WI down south crossed the St Croix and back up 142 miles.

Ice Scratchers

Installed pair of ice scratchers on 2011 Apex SE stabilizer linkages, after 170 miles on lake running , one of cables fragmented. After inspection of cable asm I found area above carbide tip had marks which came from the cable bouncing of the bottom of the frame tunnel. Now the underside of my frame looks like someone took a ball peen hammar to it.
Caution: These cable assemblies are good for low speed . Need to devise a method of storing, when running over 50 k/h. Also tip should be padded with a soft material ie rubber to eliminate tunnel scarring.
Going to dealer today to discuss further
