I'd go with the LTX SE 137 for the best of both worlds, you don't really need a 141 in Tug Hill. Think that's the way I'm going for the Old Forge and VT riding I do.

Good point,I didn't even pick that up! The LTX SE is deff a better choice then the XTX

Yes,The 2014 Skidoos are not out yet but that Viper RTX SE is calling my name! That Viper is *****ing AWESOME!!!!!! Right now the question went from should I get an XRS or X now it is should I get an RTX OR XTX? Could it change? Yea,Rumor in yellow camp that Doo is going to change the game and when they say they will I believe them. Lets call a spade a spade and Skidoo makes awesome sleds! But there was no way Yamaha could come out with something that would pry me away from an Xp,Granted its not our chassis but its ours now and with our motor man this thing has to be head and shoulders above the nytro! What you guys think??
In '09 I tried an XP. I sold my much-enjoyed '06 Attak because the XP handling is & remains the best in the biz. I bought a 600 Etec, the handling was awesome, so much so that I was driving way too fast, the handling was amazing. The 600 Etec lacked power so I sold it & bought an '11 XR 1200 4tec. Although the XR 1200 lacks Yamaha refinement, & although it doesn't handle as well as the XP, it handles far, far better than the Yamahas. I have had zero/zip/nadda troubles w/this 1200, not even hiccup. Do NOT buy an 800 Etec. It's based on the 800R engine & to this day, the Doo 800 is unreliable & problematic. It's simply too lean & despite all the anti-detonate wizardry, the engine is a high-strung time bomb. I'm a Yamaha loyalist (or was until they aligned w/AC - now I'm moving on). But I also want a sled that doesn't lift skis in the corners & want a sled that is lightweight which is not something Yamaha offers. Yam dropped the ball in this regard & they have/will continue to lose market share. The XR1200 has been the best overall sled I've owned so far.
Ride on.
Going to try one Friday @ the Snodeo in Colebrook - I'll post a report Fri nite.

Hey, I’m 103% totally with you on this one! There was no doubt in my mind either; I am jumping ship going to an XP. Sure the 2014 Skidoos just came out but that Viper RTX SE is calling my name! Golly, that Viper is super-duper AWESOME!!!!!! Almost as awesome as the Polaris Rush, which I am also jumping ship for because it will be so cool to have one of those along with the Hibbert replica. So that’s why I’ve decided to think about ordering a SR Viper RTX SE or a Renegade X or a F1100 Turbo or a Pro 800.
Until just a moment ago the question was should I get an XRS or X then it was, like all of a sudden like should I get an RTX OR XTX because that’s how much I like the new ACE 900 motor.
But if you really think about it for like a minute you’ll remember that the rumor in the yellow camp is that Doo is going to change the game and when they say they will, I believe them because my dentist once went to Quebec for a big conference with other dentists.
I totally agree that we should call a spade a spade. And we should call a club a taco since Skidoo makes awesome sleds! But, honestly, there was no way Yamaha could come out with something that would pry me away from an XP unless they were to partner with another sled manufacturer. Granted it’s not our chassis but it’s ours now even though I had absolutely nothing thing to do with the decision to share technologies. But I agree; with our motor, man, this thing has to be head and shoulders above the Nytro which I absolutely loved until about 20 minutes ago!
What you guys think am I on the right track here?? Who’s with me? Group order?

Keep in mind the 1.6 is a cobra track. I like the cobra a lot better than the ripsaw in most conditions.

Now that is F'n funny! Good humor! Up until reading the original post I thought that only women couldn't make up their minds and talk complete nonsense! The OP makes my wife seem half way normal. LOL!
Is your Avitar picture from the North Shore trail where they always park the groomer at a road crossing somewhere near Two Harbors?
