It has come to my attention that Yamaha may have a late release 50th anniversary edition model or models coming out shortly.
I understand there may be a long and short track version of this machine.
The long tracked model may be the featherweight "Mountain Shogun" predicted in the latest Snowtech magazine.
The short track could turn out to be a long track. By that I mean it could be a 150 hp. Venture touring sled using the fuel injected Genisis Extreme (RX-1) engine.
Notice in the picture below that Yamaha says there are 10 new models for 06. Count the sleds in the picture.

I wouldn't anticipate anything, but I could be wrong. If anything, it would be that work sled. I noticed in the picture as well 11 sleds but only advertised 10. When the '03 RX 1 Limited arrived, it arrived with the other sleds.

it said 10 NEW sleds...a rs venture was sitting out there which is the same as last year only with a higher windsheild
i think yamaha considers the rs venture TF a work sled because it has a 151 rip saw and powder skis...wide running boards, ect.

I can swear that the Yamaha-motor website announced 11 new models for 2006 only a few days ago. Now it says 10 new four stroke sleds..
Does this mean that there is also a new two stroke model coming up..?
As you probably have noticed the new 'non smoking Viking' is unveiled, so there should still be two more secrets to see..

The VK is the 11th sled. They told us it will be released in March. It is a 4-stroke utility sled with curved A-arms for better ground clearnace. It has the wide track, and underseat storage with the Genesis 120 motor. All new sled.

will it ave a deeper lug then the "mighty" one inch it has now?
i gusse it will have a new chassis if it is going 2 ave A-arms and hopefully a better look instead of the box it is now
