If you read Rock's thread he explained about some of us with '08 like myself that might need a "BOOSTER" with the YAMAHEATER set-up cuz of certain '08 having more resistants and needing more POWER to get MORE heat to our handwarmers, mine are OK, better than stock but could use a LITTLE more!

I just installed em on my 06. Have yet to run with em though. But here's the difference: our heaters do not warm up when at idle or slow speeds, so our warmer are playing catch up when we start to ride. Even then they don't really get hot enough to do the trick when it's cold out. The yamaheaters will start warming the bars the minute the sled is running, thus you're not starting out w cold hands. U still use your blue button to adjust temp after they get warm. Also when they are on it's like having a setting a notch or two above the current hi. So far in the garage after a cpl min of running they are definitely very very hot. Hope this helps. Btw plug and play takes all of 20 min to do.

No you don't need the BOOSTER with '06, like I mentioned its '08 that need a BOOST...I did my Bud's '06 and they get HOTTT!!! you'll be fine

Its an EXTRA component that you add between your YAMAHEATER and GRIPS to BOOST output even more that Rock came out with cuz of some grips having more resistants...like myself, '08 seem worse and don't get as hot! and by adding this booster it makes them nice and TOASTY!
