So it's basically a MTX with the RTX/GT/Base trail front end. Nothing new there.

It should have been a 136" skid.

Its the perfect sled.
A base Phazer with a 144 skid/track swap.
Oh wait, that's what I have!!!

X2! After riding my RTX stretched to 144" for the first time this past weekend, 144" is the way to go. It would have been nice to see either GYTR clickers or Floats on the front of the XTX. Other than that, it is a sweet set up.

I dont know about you guys but I would rather have the new Cat/Yamaha Viper sleds.

I still dont understand why Yamaha couldnt engineer the handling and suspension the AC's have into our Phazers and Nytros chassis. The thought of Yamaha putting the HPG shocks in the AC really worries me.They best have the valving right versus the stock AC shocks.
I have alot of pride in my Yamahas and the company and although I admit these new sleds are probably better performing than any Yamaha ever made I fully admit my Pride was hurt when I had Cat guys laughing at me over this move today. Most of public will never realize the (hopefully)improvements Yamaha made to the cat.I see many just in the pics.Public just sees the wrapper.
I have decided that since Yamaha is not loyal to their chassis that I will not be either.IF Arctic Cat has the SnoPro 500 chassis offered with a more powerful Phazer motor I will be in for sure.If not I will eagerly wait for the next upgraded Phazer from Yamaha.
Till then like last weekend I will take my reengineered Phazer and freak the heck out of all those overpowered better handling sled by either leaving them in the dust or pulling up to them before they ever even come to a stop

I stretched my MTX out to 151 and thats definitly the right length for the MTX.. should have uped the length of the track for the MTX for 2014 as well!
As there is not so much bitch and whine here in the reasonable Phazer forums I'll add that I still like Yamaha and I think theyve done the best they could for this year and I think it will be some exiting times and they will sell a lot more sleds!

1050cc is just too big for me. I dont need the top end speed and the WEIGHT.
As mentionned above, a Phazer engine in a lighter frame (SnoPro500) might be interesting....

2009 Phazer MTX
That's just it, after HATING my Phazer the first month I've learned to LOVE it and now most other sleds feel "OFF" to me. I like the Snopro 500 and spent some time on one but after correcting the crappy factory shock valving on my sled I really like mine better. Mine tackles everything from stutter bumps to 2' rollers with ease and asks for more and carves up a storm in powder though I will admit my buddies snopro edges me out in the corners as I still have a bit of "quirky" ski lift here and there that catch me by surprise. I think this "NEW" XTX model might just out sell the rest of the Phazer lineup though they should have offered an XTX SE package that includes the RTX shock package. If they have the gearing right (hopefully 17t OR MTX drivers with an 18 or 19T) a new owner should expect a sled that tops out in the upper 70's on trails, has a 45mph track speed in deep powder, and is a hoot from 0-60 with all that traction.

I was REALLY hoping for a supercharged phazer lol. I am looking for more power but not interested in a nytro. I will have to look into this viper a bit more but we will have to see.

Yeah a 20-40hp increase on the phazer would be sweet. I'm thinking maybe a viper in november... Dunno if they'll have one to ride at snofest?
