Hey guys, just got my ECP kit on and you gotta be kidding me with this burble thing. I used to work on honda inline 4 cylinder bikes and all this burble that everyone is talking about sounds like a set of carbs out of sync. It is not even a hesitation, a flat spot, or a loss of power. I have a heelclicker on it and the sled doesnt begin to move until it hits about 4900. What I can tell you is the difference from stock to this kit is by far the best this sled has ever run. I am still shaking! I really have to go back to work so I will elaborate later tonight after work and a good ride. (only did a parkinglot test so far) But this burble everyone is talking about is really very very very minor and I wouldnt of even noticed it if I didnt hear about it on this site.---- I will report more later

IF YOU GOT A RX-1, BUY THIS DAMN KIT, IT WORKS---

Chubby's RX-1, I just placed my order for a kit. Great to hear that it works. :D

Supertuner - Can't wait to get the kit installed in my sled. What will a kit like this do to my bike, it's a '98 Kawasaki ZX9R? Yiiiiihaaaa can you say wheelies :-)

Ok, I am calmed down alot , but still cant stop grinning from ear to ear so I thought I would try to explain how I feel about this burble and why it is so not a problem. The reason I said it seems like I need to sync the carbs is that in my opinion this little burble is coming from only 1 of the four carbs. If all 4 carbs were gurgling the sled would not move forward and most likely stall at 5000 RPMs. I just rode a friends stock RX-1 and it does it too. Actually worse than mine. Regardless no one could touch me tonight, I mean no one. The throttle response was awesome and real crisp. I too was worried after reading the burble posts in here and bought all the colors of springs so I could try to get rid of the burble before I even got my kit. Well, guess what, the red, yellow, and green springs I have are all for sale or trade. I'm keepin my silvers in and keepin my burble, which I no longer will call it a "burble". I'm callin it a very small fart in a huge wind storm. --- FREDDIE IS A GOD, ALL HAIL FREDDIE!!!!

I just put my filters on today too. I am at about 2.300 feet here at home and I went with 160 main jets. It sure sounds like there's a lean hesitation at this altitude. I will be riding at 4-7,000 so I hope my somewhat leaner than recommended jetting provides me with what I'm looking for (tan) on my plugs. It sure is responsive though. Now I just need to ride.

what is included in the ECP kit and what is the cost?

ECP Air Filters $98.95
Jets $10.00 (4)
Crankcase vent filter $24.95
NGK CR10EK special sparkplugs $31.80 (4)
Holtzman silver CV slide springs for carburetors $35.00
Pre Filters for snow dusty conditions if you want them $37.90

Somewhere on this forum there are some pics of them.

This is a kit that I have been working on, off and on since last winter. It eliminates the stock airbox. They make RX1's rock!

Now you know why I wanted to send you the 165 main jets. All you guys have to forget everything you know regarding jetting from your old 2 stroke days...especially with the CV carburetors.

Chubby - What altitude do you ride at? I'm riding at sealevel and up to about 1500 ft most of the time. I'm just curious of what to expext from the kit, guess I will be smiling some day soon :D - Next upgrader after this will be... ECP stage two? MCXpress turbo?

Let it snow, only 4 inches on my lawn.
