I have the TRIC scratchers on my 07rtx and I burn through the back of the rail before the bend now. They are not perfect, they need to be tightened every once in a while. However they get the job done.

On a non noise related note I believe a SC would be better on the trail. If I am not mistaken a SC does not have the "turbo lag" before it kicks in which would make it better corner to corner. It would be harder to find than a turboed sled though.

I think I once read that it had to do with the powerband. They were saying that the 20 valve engine's power is much more suitable for a snowmobile clutch. I could be very wrong though.

I would look into making a conversion to your sled to turn it into a three wheeled road going machine for the summer months. There have been a few threads about it on here. I can't imagine how much fun an apex would be on the road. THis option looks like the best way to extend the season though...

That is way too cheep. If that isn't stolen or sketchy in some way then that would be the deal of the century. I would proceed with caution though.
