Rods are the weak point on this motor, At least under boost. Anything over 16 lbs for extended time will fail. (been there done that) Next is the block It tends to crack at boost numbers above 20 lbs, The pistons are very good for stock, And the complete motor is good for stock except the...
I got my flex joints from Prince George Yamaha, lepinheimer was sold out at the time I cant quite remeber the price but I think it was $180.00 cdn for both with shipping. Call Mark (USA) for a price he may have them in stock by now. I also bought a set from vernon motor sports but they were some...
both of my flex joints failed in january, I bought the mcx flex joints and had a muffler shop replace them no problems since, the Mcx joints are better than some of the other import flex joints. And I have a 6 inch diameter airfilter on my sled that sticks out the side it can get in the way some...
you need to zip tie your boost sensor more farther forward on the seat frame that will keep it from melting. Mines right where the seat bolt goes through the frame.
JE makes aftermarket low compression pistons for the phazer, You need to talk to Dustin at Outlaw motorsports in Enterprise oregon,I have been waiting for pistons since August and they havent been put into production yet, ( they need a order of 10 sets to put them into production, are you have...
sounds like a fuel pump relay. code 43 means a short in the fuel system. pull the relays and dry them out, there located buy the chaincase. could be something else but give it a shot.
Do any of you have a enclosed clutch guard on your phazers? Im looking for ideas, In hill climb racing you have to have one to run in the mod class just seeing if anybody has made one.
Thanks.
my sled wouldnt rev above 10,000 rpms and would only get 10 lbs of boost and it ended up being the blow off valve had a burr in it and it wouldnt close to build boost. But check your connectors make shure every thing is good.
If your riding at 10,000 ft, dont run a headshim and contact high altitude boost they had some sleds setup with pump gas and no shim for high altitudes.
I have them on my phazer and they have to be trimed around the allen screw that hold the lower side panel on, And they work awesome no more snow build up.
Mcxpress kit, When your exhaust gets loud its probably the flex couplers they tend to fail over time.
16lbs of boost with the shim avgas are better and this thing rockssss
