Keep the info coming guys ... as it stands now, I'm going with FJO ~ for the leaded and disable option plus the thin gauge & after talking with FJO & others, I think it's a better product, at least for me. Heck, for $625 to monitor, tune and protect my $30k sled, priceless.
Yes - it had a bath in December and I was shocked when I saw that, maybe the rust is helping rough it up. Cleaning set for this weekend. Let me know when you are up and running & I'll try to have my crew come by your shop and say hi. Derek (Coloradoyamaha@adelphia.net).
In my quest to get my sled tuned for 10k-13k riding, many members have helped me out with suggestions and "how to" assistance. THANKS TO EVERYONE.
I made the last set of adjustments Saturday and on Sunday the sled was running like a new Monster. I put in the billet T's and found 3 of the...
Sorry, no dealer in my area for help so I'm becoming a garage mechanic. Just ordered the Boondocker billet carb T's - 2 came with 4 o-rings. I have the Rx-1 300+ page manual - where do those go / how / any help would be great. Thanks, Derek :o|
I know there are many places and options for clutching, I run Hartman on two Vipers that run CRAZY strong ~ have perfect rpm's for climbing, etc., and there is a lot of experience and knowledge in that camp.
Not sure if you can see my R&M in the small photo, I have larger pic's but they are at home. I love my hood, great fit & finish, it's been rolled 2 times and on its side several times. No problems with light snow entering, anything. Highly recommend. D
Spray25 ~ thanks for the help, that's great. Jim ~ Abe did this install himself and said nothing about an A/F, it was early last year & I have all the other gauges. MPI is so damn busy "reportedly", I was told Mac or Abe would call me, weeks ago, but no luck. I guess this is what happens when...
Jim ~ no A/F on the sled, guess MPI didn't think it needed one? Spray25 ~ thanks for the info, I'll be changing the pilots and adjust the fuel "again" and look into the A/F. Have you or Jim put in a BOV?, heard that helped fix the flooding problem on many T's and S/C's.
Blgs: what I have: 17.5 pilots, 127.5 mains and had Troy at TJ's double check the above and everything else - the floats, fuel screws, etc., and I'm still having a slight - what I would say mirrors a miss at idle to about 20 mph, you can feel and hear it. I'm getting 9 lbs. boost above 11k feet...
I've been working out some bugs on carb settings/adjustments ~ still having issues. Anyone riding at this elevation, willing to share information? Hammer, MPI & TJ's all have been helping, doing testing currently, but still not right. Thanks, Derek
BOV / Gauges
Check out (titanmotorsports.com), they have a good selection of accessories. I have not bought anything yet, still researching what is best, easiest to install, etc.
Apex Mtn
Hey Guys,
My buddy and I picked up his Apex Mtn. on Friday and just got it back home in my garage. Blue/black ~ there were 4 in, this was the first one delivered to a customer. Others were waiting for S/C's. It's nice, I'll post pics on Snowest in a day or two.
