I need the right lower flame decal off of my '06 apex RTX. The one that is currently on there has some pieces missing. Looks like they chipped off. No other marks on the plastic. This is on the right side panel if you were sitting on the sled facing forward, NOT on the top hood piece.
I...
Ouch eddietcat01, do you get a discount on cat sleds? I can see riding yammie if you didn't get a discount, but if they gave you a healthy discount maybe that would make up for dislike of cats? If you like yammie, couldn't you go and work for a yammie dealership, or did you lose interest in cat...
another explanation:
1: remove lower two two allen screws on each red colored exhaust shield (red plastic). the top ones just spin. They are not connected to metal. Don't worry about them.
2: unscrew rear black plastic exhaust panel below taillight. I think there are two philips screws...
I'll try the other ideas and see what I can get to work. I'll check what fits the new plugs when they arrive. I tried fitment on an irridium plug for my Suzuki TL1000R that I haven't installed yet and the 13/16" socket fit perfectly. It is also an NGK irridium plug. Would that be a different...
Maybe the wall is thinner on that socket? I tried two 13/16" sockets and the closest metric socket that I had and they were all too thick to fit down there. Maybe a dedicated spark plug socket will have a thinner side wall?
I ordered some CR10EIX plugs for my apex and before they get here I wanted to loosen the old plugs a 13/16 socket doesn't fit down into the plug well. I tried to put the largest apex toolkit pivoting socket into the hole to check, but it just spun on the plug, so I'm assuming that it isn't large...
If I want to go to the hardware store and buy mounting hardware for a skid plate that didn't come with any hardware, what EXACTLY would I buy (size, number, etc.)? Do you have to drill any holes in the bottom of the sled to mount these rivnuts?
I asked about the 2006 apex mountain riser at...
P.S. I will definitely back Amsoil. It was definitely less smokey than the stock arctic cat oil I was using. No gumming of powervalves, either. I do like the smell of the strawberry polaris oil, but that stuff is pretty expensive.
I used amsoil in my 2-stroke. I probably won't use it unless I can get it for less than regular oil. If I have to change the oil every year and I won't be putting even near 6000-7000 miles on it, I don't see the cost/benefit ratio paying off. I have never had engine troubles in even one of my...
I can't visualize this in my head a the moment, but I have my sled apart right now. Would this be as easy as disconnecting the wires from the ignition cylinder and touching them together? I just ordered a spare key from the stealership $16.95.....I have the switchblade original and they said...
ah, well, the tester that we have wouldn't get good suction. It did go to -40, but maybe that was because we didn't get enough fluid in it. I can try that, but with your guidelines I will figure it out!
I have searched for the answers to many of these questions, but sometimes there are a ton of posts that aren't exactly related. I.E. airbox mods. Many relate to the RX-1 and ECP filters, not modding the stock airbox. Coolant searches reveal the following: "some sleds shipped with 100%...
I have a bunch of questions. I have printed off lots of the FAQ section and these are the questions I still have after doing some searches and reading the FAQ.
1. How do you remove the seat? I want to gut my exhaust and am not sure how to get the seat off.
2. If my 3 large rear wheels...
I want to know what gears are in each model and year apex? I have an '06 RTX and '06 ER. What stock gears are in them? It would be nice if someone could compose a list for all of the apex's and put it in the FAQ section that could be stickied. Any other differences besides cosmetics and shocks...
Yes, blue dave, I will definitely do so. I also edited my post to add some stuff. Check it out. I really want to get some other stuff done first, though. Check my sig. My firecat f7 was very modified and I am sure that this sled will be slower, so I want to get the most out of it without...
Well, I use them in my truck.....that I drive in winter....that I put a lot more miles on than my sled....the ballasts also work under water. I have seen them lit up with the ballast in a bucket of water before on a video on youtube. The connections are all rubber gasketed. The bulbs are the...
