My cousin owned a 2009 800r Renegade and I rode that a decent amount. FAST #*$&@ sled, no doubt, but I just felt like I was too far forward. I'm not sure though.. It just seems like a Rev is my best bet since I could get one for cheaper and have a decent amount of leftover money to blow on it.
I guess I just like the Rev style better. The XP isn't as attractive to me. And I'll be able to pick up a lower mileage Rev for cheaper and have money left over for parts. Also, by 06-07 the Rev chassis was totally perfected, while the XP in 08-09 was still a new chassis with imperfections.
So a guy is coming tonight to pick up my sled! It's a 2009 Phazer RTX and I bought it for $4900 with 400 miles on it. It now has 1,504 on it and we agreed upon a price of $5600. Made a pretty good deal on it if you ask me. Plan on buying a 06-07 REV 600 HO and clutching it, reeds...
So here we are on a lovely saturday afternoon, and the trusty ol' Ski Doo 670 S chassis bogs down. uh oh. We open er up and look and can't seem to find anything. Start it up and its knocking and rocking like a madman. Running on only one cylinder. She's hatched. So thank god we had a Phazer...
Yep I got water in mine. Brought it in and tried to dry it out. No luck. Took it apart and wiped everything. It's still frosting up on the display. Needless to say, I also am not so pleased.
I have mine on the 2nd one down from the top. The handling is pretty good and it also lifts the skis which is fun! So yeah just try it out, see what you like. Also, if you have the Fox Floats like I do, you can take some air out of them to lower the front end and loosen the strap. Making it...
If your strap is all the way at the top doesnt that mean its loose? Cause to get it to the bottom holes you gotta compress it quite a bit. So wouldn't top be loose and bottom be tight?
I just emailed Rob to see if maybe he had a stripped down kit for less. We will see! I'm thinkin of doing like white/blue xenon bulbs in my sled. My Audi S4 has them so I wanna put some in the Phaze!
